A Diet or a Romp?

What do you think of the Paleo (Caveman) diet?

How about The Engine 2 diet?  The Zone?  Low Carbs?  The Mediterranean?  The Maker’s Diet?  The French Women Don’t Get Fat Diet?

I can tell you the good, the bad and the flaws of them all.  But would you like to know what I really think?

I think these girls are not thinking about food at all.  And when they do fall down together in the afternoon sun, happy and exhausted, they will enjoy the best peanut butter sandwich (even on white bread) that they’ve ever eaten in their life.

Saints!  Our girls need us to wake up and romp in the sun and sea of each day.  Is it any wonder that God loves children so?  They exult in everything good he has made!

It is not in a diet’s DNA to exult.

“Do not allow what you consider good to be spoken of as evil.  She who eats meat (or beans, or bread) eats to the LORD for she gives thanks to the LORD, and she who abstains and eats only vegetables, does so to the LORD and gives thanks to God.” (Romans 14)

For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Peace, and so much joy as you exult in God’s goodness to you and yours today.
