Greetings from Texas!
How does this first Wednesday of Advent find you, wherever you are?
Let all that I am wait quietly before God.
What were your last thoughts before sleep last night?
But surely my hope is in the LORD.
What were your first thoughts this morning?
God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at the break of day.
What, honestly, has occupied most of your attention and mental space this morning?
Your grace is sufficient for me.
What internal conversations are you having with yourself?
The wisdom from above is pure, then peaceable, and open to reason.
What accusing loop keeps playing over and over in your head?
If you need wisdom, ask our generous God and he will give it to you.
He will not rebuke you for asking.
Do you feel offended? Unable to change? Angry?
Create in me a clean heart, O God. And renew a right spirit within me.
Are you anxious, hurt, or weary?
Direct my footsteps, and light my path, according to your WORD.
Are you numb, bitter, or closed?
The LORD God says: Behold! I will cause breath to enter you, and you shall live.
Where, and to whom, are you trying to defend yourself?
Do not be overcome by evil. But, overcome evil with good.
Where is your joy?
I am pressed on every side, but I am not crushed. The LORD will watch over my coming and my going both now and forevermore.
For He delights in those who put their hope in his unfailing love
Where is your heart fixed, saints?
May your heart be truly fixed where true joy is found.
Peace to you and yours, this first week of Advent.
Kim
Amy,
Thought you’d enjoy this…in the midst of your stress. How you doing today? Feeling any better??

Kim,
Each time I read your post I think of the Lord Jesus, how precious He is and how precious are your thoughts regarding His truth. Sharon would have been overjoyed to know you at this stage of your life and walk of faith. May He continue to be your Light and Life as you are given breath!

In this hectic week, thank you for steering the thoughts of my heart to the Prince of Peace.
Thank you, Kim, I needed just those words this morning.
Bonnie
Thank you, Judi. It is a good thing we will have all eternity to catch up. Can’t wait!
Beautiful – I have reread this several times this week. Would you mind listing the references for the scripture?
